a bug in Pulseaudio. If you want to stop Pulseaudio, then you also need
to stop the client that keeps restarting it (my guess is that it will
probably work if you kill gnome-volume-control-applet and gnome-
settings-daemon)

but I think the devs should pay very close attention to user feedback
during the alpha/beta process for Karmic before making the final
decision to replace Pidgin/Ekiga with Empathy. I've tried out Empathy
for a few days, and
I encounter the same bug and using 'sudo update-grub2' command doesn't help at
all!!
I have installed Windows 7 on my machine and the grub2 bootloader doensn't add
it to the menu.
I've tried that command and it just added duplicate copies of the

the enable_msi doesn't seem to make any odds for me.
The source has a note that the model=toshiba hack autodetect is disabled for my
hardware (A100-306) since it breaks soemthing else.
I also tried with a customer 2.4.31-rc4 kernel with CONFIG_PREEMPT and
that doesn't seem to be helping.

Thanks for the merge. Things look good but the browser plugins aren't
working. The plugins show up in firefox, but when I open a test file
nothing happens and sometimes the browser freezes. It would be good to
get that fixed before uploading.

This is also a problem in karmic Alpha 3. I can boot the live-cd but I get no
visual, only a dark screen. I can hear the welcome sound when booting into
gnome, but screen is completely dark.
I have the same intel graphic card as in post 4 above.

with mythbuntu 9.04. It was working fine in Intrepid, but after
upgrading to Jaunty it no longer works. For Hardy I had to manually
