At present, Firefox 3.0 is necessary for full functionality of Firefox
3.5 on Jaunty. This requirement will be removed for Karmic.
Also, the versions do not inherently conflict and some people might
like to keep both until all add-ons are compatible

"System->About Ubuntu" should more directly display versio
Looks like it had an error on tomboy as well. Not sure if it's an issue
with the post removal scripts in those packages, or in dpkg itself. In
either case though, this does not seem to be an issue specific to UNR,
so I'm removing the ubuntu-unr tag.

I've seen this if the dvd+rw was formatted using mkudffs using --media-
type=dvd instead of the (undocumented, but mentioned in the README)
--media-type=dvdrw ..
(Given that mkudffs only creates empty filesystems, what on earth use is
a setting that makes it read-only, I wonder?)

IIRC, this happens because we stopped mangling URLs.
So in the old case we saved the bound location as "lp:%7Egm-dev-
launchpad/..." and now you are updating from "lp:~gm-dev-launchpad/..."
The simple workaround is to:
bzr unbind
bzr bind lp:~gm-dev-launchpad/...
And then it should save exact
This is a problem in Ubuntu. Note that it was marked as 'Invalid' only
in Launchpad: it's still open in Ubuntu. You might also want to check

After reinstalling b43-fwcutter, the broadcom driver appears as
activated in Hardware Drivers. However, the problem is now identical to

The issue is having Java code connecting to the local system on port
8009... For some reason it needs to resolve the local system name and
will fail to connect to 8009 on incomplete setups.
Your hosts file should contain (by default at Ubuntu install) a "127.0.1.1
hostname.fullyqualified.domain.n
In addition, adding it to the graphic makes it impossible to translate
into other languages/char-sets

The stock Ubuntu kernel that will boot is version 2.6.31-5-generic. The
custom kernel is compiled from 2.6.31-rc5. The stock ubuntu kernel is
not missing the initrd, but my custom kernel is compiled without one.
