Yes, I made the modifications and there was a difference: syslog started
showing the "skipping..." messages more quickly :)
To be precise, they came at the same rate, but there used to be a larger
pause before the first one appeared.

This error is still present in jaunty and can be confirmed by using the
same procedure described by Nikolaus. The error was fixed by the
maintainer in September 2007 with version 3.21. The current version of
latexmk is 4.08 which was released on June 23 of this year. For some
reason, the version

kded should be started independently, since it is much more verbose than
applications, for a very good reason as I tend to believe. Also kded is an own
application anyway. Only for user convenience KDE applications would startup

I had the same issue. I had to uninstall the "Vega Strike" in
repositories and install "vegastrike-linux-0.5.0.tar.bz2" from
http://vegastrike.sourceforge.net/getfiles/ . Version 0.4.3 is missing
many parts such as the main menu.

I can confirm this problem, and also that the debug option causes a

I am having the exact same problem with Ubuntu 8.04 (latest update).
Totem won't recognize any form of DVD reporting an error saying the file
can't be open. That it is either not a supported format or I don't have
"permission to access".
