To suspend the drive manually:
1 unmount
2 copy the rules file from /lib to /etc
3 edit the rules file
4 perform sdparm sync and stop
5 remove the drive
6 remove the rules file from /etc
so it should be there _only_ when you run sdparm commands

Well the current state of PA/ALSA in combination with Rhythmbox has not

Since yesterday grub boots the first operating system without showing
the menu. (which I unfortunately set to windows)
I booted from the Karmic alpha3 CD and tried update-grub2 and it only
finds the windows partition, it doesn't even check sda8 (where my / is).

Firefox is maxing out my CPU Help!!!

in karmic it can't be possible to report crashes and every time i want to
report one i get a popup message saying that some packages are obsolete and
they should be upgraded, but i can't obtain these upgrade. these packages are:
libatk1.0-0, libflac8, libpango1.0-0,

Where is the sense in having an extra add-apt-key package? Only because
it was written by Sun is not really a reason, the proper way would have
been to integrate the functionality into the apt-key source (yes, apt-
key is a shellskript, too!)

Can you test with just using gedit without copying over from jedit?
I have a feeling its more of jedit than firefox

You're absolutely right. I renamed the html file edited by 0.8a4 to
xhtml and the problem was solved.
I'm sending the files to you anyway so that you can have a look and try
