I agree with you Kev, the same happens with other applications all the time,
some times you can't find a deb package to install so you have to wait for the
next ubuntu release for the issue to be solved ,for new users its more
difficult , they might don't know what ppa is or where to find a deb

I'm on Ubuntu 9.04. When I suspend the computer for a long period (a few
hours). It hangs when I wake it, the screen won't turn on, and I cannot access
it via the netwrok.
The weird thing is that when I suspend it for a short period (few minutes)
there is no problem, I
