Confirmed, that the patch solves problem if Scale Mouse Pointer is
checked.
But the complete solution should work even if that check-box is not
checked. What if someone wants to see an original (not scaled) pointer
and still interact with the zoomed and locked desktop.

The default boot process on the very recent acer extensa 5635z does not display
anything after grub. The backlight is on but everything stays black.
Luckily an external display connencted before boot displays everything just
fine. The internal display is again always black.

This is a problem with the DNS resolver.
This problem will occur for any DNS request which the DNS resolver does not
support.

warning. This can lead to data corruption and is easy to do accidentally
if you mix uuids with device names like /dev/sda1.
