I found using a device xml file works in Jaunty with

Ok i tried the ppa and its fixed now.
I always wish the devs told what the problem was .
Also,when do the ppa changes come as regular updates via update manager?

Yes, I'm using karmic. For now, I've temporarily worked around this by
including xscreensaver in the list of startup programs
(Preferences-Startup Applications in gnome).

From ubuntu 8.10 gtktalog isnt in distribution. After I rebuild older
