Apparently apache2-mpm-worker *is* the default choice of mpm, at least
some of the time (though the machine I first checked on had apache-mpm-
prefork, I am unsure why). My mistake, it would appear.
Using apache2-mpm-prefork would appear to be a viable workaround, unless
it leads to performance
It is a serious remote denial of service! It can be used from a single
modem line and take down a whole server without generating any logfiles
except normal access logs. It's funny how you guys treat it as
Wishlist for three months even though it's one of the worst remote
denial of service attacks

I think we can assume that by definition the network interface

Adding grub2 support to VMBuilder seems very non-trivial at the moment.
However, it seems that grub and grub2 can peacefully coexist now? I'm
certainly using grub2 on my laptop, but have just installed grub and
VMBuilder builds virtual machines just fine now.

I was able to get the test libmysqlclient15off package properly
installed and I tested with it and confirmed that that did fix the case

- All Apache MPMs are affected. The sole exception may be if you use the
event MPM without SSL.
- The slowloris attack leaves plenty of error 400 entries in the access
log.
- Using iptables connlimit with a reasonable maximum number of

when I open my laptop lid, gsd changes my resolution

When I close and reopen my laptop lid, gnome-settings-daemon (or
something that talks to it) changes my resolution from the default
1280x800 to 1024x768, which is ugly and annoying.

I agree, obviously Xorg should ideally never freeze, but that isn't
really possible. This is most likely a bug in how Eclipse debugger (or
SWT or JFace or whatever) is interacting with X, and if I would have to
guess, I'd say it is Eclipse's fault. Just my hunch though, obviously I
don't have any
Travis, this does NOT seem to be a bug, but something related to a bad
edited gconf value.
If (for example) one of Karmic compiz upgrades corrupted it, but resetting
it (by disabling and re-enabling visual effects) solves the problem (maybe
because compiz next upgrade does not touch that value),
Can you try to reproduce this issue in latest version of Ubuntu Karmic?

'gedit Text Editor' is the only item in the whole menu that starts with
a lower-case character (even iBus doesn't). As consistency seems
important according to the upstream bug report, I can't follow how this
change qualifies as an acceptable fix.

I'm now using the kernel from post #117 on my Debian Squeeze system on the
Toshiba NB200.
To ged rid of apt's messages complaining about missing wireless-crda I
installed the karmic version of it, too.
1) playback through internal speakers: OK
2) speakers mute when headphones plugged in (and
