I agree with Leann.
I tested his patched kernel for karmic and, except for the internal mic

I think that having sound from speakers (and from headphones) is way
better than having no sound at all.
Thanks.

Well this is damn annoying ... should the bug be against python-imaging
for not magically providing python2.4-imaging as well as
python2.5-imaging, python2.6-imaging ? Or against zope2.10 for being
"behind the times" by depending on python2.4 ?
Is there a backport of python2.4-imaging for Jaunty?

Note: The developer at the hardinfo tracker says, and I quote:
"Indeed, it does not show this behavior with 0.5. Updating to 0.5.1 is
recommended, but if you need a patch for 0.4.2.3, let me know."
Since 9.10 is coming up, is it too late to get 0.5.1 into the next release?

The latest Karmic doesn't work for me (NC10). The Gnome Power Manager

If this is relevant at all (briefly mentioned in the Freedesktop bug
entry) there are no files in the /sys/class/backlight director

I'm not sure that's a bug. I think Tomboy only shows the most recent
notes, as well as the ones that are pinned. This is to avoid having a
huge, confusing list in case the user has lots of notes.
