It is indeed the same problem, I moved to ... here now as well as a
workaround. I played with various options including a distro patch to
make #2026; to … on build but that has the disadvantage that it
means the pot file in bzr will not be correct and in sync with the

Even in the case where you don't want gdm to run ( e.g. passing text in the
kernel parameters ) the current logic is still inelegant as the respawn means
that the 'exit 0' statement causes the script to run multiple times before
being stopped as spawning too fast.

Note that if empathy was last hidden in status icon last time you quit
it, it will restart hidden. That means that if I remove the indicator
applet in that situation, empathy won't show and I have no way to use
it. I can't even go to preferences to uncheck use message indicator.

and removing all failed entries listed in Help-Software Setup - Manage

Installation of Plugins via 'Update' impossible due outdated source
Ok. I have a bunch of possibly related problems, and haven't yet managed
to sort them out.
Sometimes I get applet error messages (even after removing dropbox), and
