It was not using the old options to map video ports to monitors. A
little poking around and I got it to recognize a specific monitor for
DVI1. However it still seems to think DVI1 is disconnected. Which is
incorrected because the bios drives it on boot.

It seems that some how I had some empty post-installation script so I
created some very basic empty ones then I was able to uninstall the
package and reinstall it. Since then I have upgraded to 9.10. But thanks

my desktop doesn't work (it's black screen) in Karmic
For me it works as expected with the same version 1.0~pre2-0ubuntu1. If

OK, in fact - I can confirm that it works with ubuntu the preloading
in the skype wrapper. If you store the session via gnome, skype is
loaded via the real binary instead of the script. Adding it to the
startup items manually fixes this with my logitech quickcam stx.

Update: I have solved the Fn-F4 sleep problem (after wasting a lot of
time hacking acpi scripts to see what was going on)
In the end the solution was just to run /usr/bin/xfce4-power-manager-
settings, and change the setting for When the sleep button is pressed
from nothing to suspend.

Hi,
I always get this error message when I install any update or new
application. I removed network-manager, since I configured the networking
manually. But the error message has never gone away. I am using 9.04, with
all the latest updates.

@SeanWelton Not sure. He says it has a black background. I'm not sure
if he is saying that the Banshee icon is still there, but it has black
behind it, or black is actually covering the whole spot where the icon
should be. The problem I am having and I believe the other people who
reported this
Update: Just looked at their screenshots. They have backgrounds behind
the icons. My problem is that the whole icon is covered, as if it isn't
even there.
