I think that the problem I am dealing with on my laptop is not the same
as this one, as it doesn't happen immediately on startup but sometimes
takes many minutes to appear. I've run the batchbuffer dump routine

I have installed Karmic on an AMD64X2 (64bit) with an NVDIA 7600GS,
using the NVDIA driver version 185.18.36. With this combination
Stellarium and Google Earth work flawless. Without the driver Stellarium
was by far to slow to be of any use (fps: 0.0001). On my HP Vectra D530
with an ATI 9200
I have the same problem: when I do Mettre en veille (I think it's
suspend to RAM), it looks like it succeed suspending, but when I try
to resume, it looks like there is some activity but the screen remains
desperately black.

I solved the problem.
I had to select Analog surround 5.1... Which is not normal because I have no
surround.
But anyway, it works.

Reason I marked it as a banshee bug rather than a mono bug is that there
are dozens of mono related packages, and I wasn't sure which one is
actually causing the problem. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Bug in the PDF library.
Jonathan, I think it's a bug in Okular since the file can be viewed with
evince (which uses poppler) without problems.
If you look a tthe attached screenshot, you will see that okular
displays the file with the wrong orientation (portrait instead of
landscape). Evince
