I installed Karmic yesterday and have installed all available updates.
Pulseaudio was using over 300mb of memory a few minutes ago. I issued
the command 'pulseaudio -k' and memory usage dropped back down under
2mb. After 10 minutes however, it's crept back up to over 14 mb and is
still climbing.
I can also confirm using Empathy 2.28.1.1 and Ubuntu 9.10 AMD desktop.
Tries to connect, briefly shows contact list and then goes offline with
network error. I am connecting to OpenFire Jabber server.

Actually, this is not a Firefox issue. That's the standard Session
Restore message. That should happen on Shutdown so that your tabs are
restored. It should not happen on Hibernation though. I would check
into why your hibernation is not working properly.

Update: Creating a .Trash at the root of the partition in question and
changing it's permission to 777 with a sticky bit solved the problem.
Still i suggest Ubuntu should prompt the user for the root password and
