wifi module rtl8180 freezes the system

Please, note that WPA is not currently working with Network Manager and
this chipset..

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest Karmic 9.10 release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are
available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

I witnessed a similar problem in Karmic. I've played a few rounds of mines and
this is the first time that this has happened, Obviously I won't be able to
reproduce it as it seems rare. Seems a pretty major problem though in as far as
silly games can have major problems :-)
The problem is with
