I got it working on one of my two computers by using sysv-rc-conf to add

To repeat a bit of the IRC discussion: patch looks generally good, but
it would be better if it did not include the code clean-ups (dropping
unused functions, removing #if 0 code, etc). This will make reviewing,
backporting, and possible regression handling easier.

Yeah after the change in the configuration I restarted Amarok and it worked
fine after that, It was my mistake because I did not notices that Amarok was
still up in the systray. Thanks for your attention Andrew. I mark the bug as
invalid after I found the solution.
