When opening a Xvid avi file the Player suggest shearching for a codec that is
missing to play the file, fails to find it, and... PLAYS the file without a
proplet. Same this every time I open it.
I agree with Julian, this bug should be rated a higher priority. The
original report is not too serious but the subsequent issues reported in
comment #2 do render some icons unusable. This elevates the bug from a
purely aesthetic problem to a functional one.

I have tried the steps ih suggested on my 64bit karmic and scanner is
working fine until I try to quit XSane. Than it stops responding and I
have to force quit.

Binary package hint: regexxer
On this machine, regexxer works perfectly on karmic, fails on lucid.
Regexxer is stable and has not been changed for awhile. I have tried
this with the pre-compiled program obtained via Synaptic, and also by
compiling from source on this

As far as I can tell it only happens when opening a folder, for other
types of resources found by krunner, it works properly.
So it might as well be a problem on Dolphin's side.

/me too. I have been seeing this one since jaunty, and it is worse in
karmic. I don't care about it that much, as using ALT-F1 to get menus
works better for me than this ugly launcher, but it is annoying for my
daughters' netebooks config, as they tend to use the launcher...

I'm experiencing this problem with kopete-facebook (0.1.4-0ubuntu1.1)
karmic. I recently upgraded to KDE 4.4, but don't know if this is
relevant since I haven't tried to use Facebook with Kopete before.

Yeah I've seen some bugs come in about build failures, so it is working.
So that piece of it you can ignore with this apport hook to detect
nvidia/fglrx. Just so long as the regular X hook is able to change the
source package to fglrx/nvidia and collect the regular stuff.
