Same problem with an Acer Aspire 5000, Turion 64 Processor (shit), 2 GB

I cannot watch at a streaming video for more than 3 minutes than the
computer crashes down for overheating.

I just ran into this in fully updated Karmic. See below the heavily
sanitized email. Evolution displays an attachment named
"attachment.dat." When I double click on it, it is treated as a text
file, which opens in gvim for me.
