I still experience this problem. It happens in firefox with a myriad of
addons installed, but not in a fresh version. I google an address and
then it shows the map just fine, but if I try to drag it around or zoom
in/out, the map turns into a square of gray.

Live disk works for me, but I've been getting blank screen/incomplete

-13 was ok. I reinstalled off livecd to verify and am now stuck on -10
for reliable boot.

Sorry about that, I did not realize that the latest Firefox 3.6 update had not
been pushed to Karmic through the PPA yet. The update is being pushed right now
and you should be able to get it relatively soon. This update fixes the bug I

This is not a bug in the -nv driver, which is the official open-source
nvidia driver, because the -nv driver doesn't have any 3D acceleration.
It is a bug in the binary nvidia driver; I'm re-assigning to the correct
package and removing the incomplete status.

If I have used sound, for example on a Java applet online...and I close that
and launc
I was able to get NM to detect the modem by doing:
$ sudo modprobe usbserial
$ sudo modprobe sierra
$ echo 03f0 211d > /sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/sierra/new_id
I have not successfully connected with this yet.
