The cooling- fan seems to work fine again when I boot the live-cd with

It looks like the process running before mplex is not outputting an .m2v
file but a file without extension.
Maybe transcode's semantic has changed. It is called from dvdrip with
-o /path/to/avi/002/name-002, but mplex is called with

I was able to solve the problem by simply reinstalling the kernel
package but after another kernel update it's broken again so there seems

As far as I can see this bug seems to be fixed in #527462. But since I
am not using Ubuntu 10.04 alpha I can't confirm it. The reporter should
verify and then close this bug.

I'm running Lucid in Virtualbox (PUEL) and the same thing happens when I
install the guest additions, but I have an Nvidia card (9400) in the
host system. Should I open a new bug report or add further details to
this one? Installing the kernel from your PPA and adding guest additions
again does
