Odd- this happens for all files I've tried.
I've attached a tarball that contains:
- pdftest.odt
- the resulting pdftest.pdf (written by OOo 3.2)
- the file pdftest, linked to pdftest.pdf
- a screenshot of the icons and file properties. Note that the suffixless

When I start my computer, and then open rhythmbox or empathy (anything
that requires the use of keyring) it is asking me for my password to
unlock and then crashes.
If I start my computer and then do an alt syst k and log in again, I
can use rhythmbox or empathy without unlocking.

Thats the likely fix not the cause :) It should be going to .33 stable
once it gets pulled into .34 and it's been around for a few weeks now.
Can you boot with drm.debug=6 added to the kernel command line, ssh in
from another machine, and then attach that dmesg and Xorg.0.log from the
failed boot

Sorry Giovanni, it would be too dangerous (backporting more than 20
packages) to handle the new session and fallback solution.

Public bug reported:
A class of netbook and notebook laptops seem to have controllers that do
not correctly implement the AUX loop command and this causes touchpad
detection to fail.
This is fixed with upstream commit
1c7827ae70e7c8456e08f7bb9ef2238d27814cbe which is including in the Lucid
