denied errors for ~/.Xauthority, the VM starts up. I guess you are
trying to start the VM without an X session?

I tried to run the maximum number of instances on the setup (using
lucid-amd64-topol, 66 sessions) from a idling cloud. All failed.
Looking at the configuration, I found VNET_ADDRSPERNET=32. I

We wouldn't need that as long as KVM wouldn't choose the DirectFB
fallback. It seems that the X-stuff required for KVM doesn't get set up
correctly by libvirt.

It looks like the problem is related to the fact that euca_conf
--deregister will de-register a node, but the uec_component_listener is
not informed when de-registration happens. Thus, if the component
listener is restarted, it will re-register the node as soon as it sees

I'm going to mark this won't-fix for now.
I don't believe the Karmic images are going to be of primary value much
longer. Surely people will bump up to 10.04 images soon. And we have
now fixed the Lucid images to fit in 2G and set the default m1.small MEM
to 192M, and tested that Lucid images
