I have a very similar problem on my Dell Studio laptop running 10.04
beta 2. This laptop has no hard switch, you have to press the f2 key to
enable/disable wireless. Pressing this key toggles Soft Blocked
between yes and no but hard blocked is always set to yes hence no
wireless.

Hi
Your log shows that swt libraries has been extracted to your
~/.eclipse[1], which is likely to cause crashes (e.g.) when we update
eclipse to a new upstream version.
This bug was fixed in the package synaptic - 0.63.1ubuntu5

It's driver specific. I am still getting a jumbled screen even when
booting to command line (no X.Org running). I'm taking a guess that
when my update crashed out that X.Org reverted back to a default driver
and that is why I had a fixed screen until I reconfigured packages.

I was wrong about it not occurring on my Ati GPU earlier. It just takes more
effort and happens more frequently with the new Ambiance theme.

I can confirm that removal of the FGLRX driver appears to have fixed the
problem for me.

i am trying to install lucid development beta2 under a amd geode lx 800
cpu using the mini.iso image. the install gets to the Detect Disks
stage, before saying it can't find any disks to install to. this is
definitely a regression. I had this exact same hardware setup working
