You are right, Laptops don't usually sit around on the login screen
while on battery. However, most Laptops don't have high-resolution
hardware battery indicators, either. I own several identical batteries
for my Laptop, usually some of them are fully charged, others are not.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Going to "Music" | "Import Folder..." and navigating to a windows XP
share, I just get 'Importing 0/0' in the bottom right hand corner and no
music files are imported into the library.
(I could not find a previous bug exactly the same, sorry)
