Well I'll be... I thought I already had it there... but I didn't. So I
just added the indicator applet to my toolbar, and now the volume
control is back. (Along with some other chat indicator that I don't
want, but that's a separate issue.)

I am having a similar issue with the following server configuration:
vmlinuz-2.6.32-25-generic, nfs-kernel-server and kubuntu 10.04
the workaround restarting portmap before nfs-kernel-server fixes the
problem for me. I don't see the problem with normal nfs directory
access unless I use

chance to try out the new lucid AMIs.

Unity's top bar is filled up with random items from the last application's menu
bar. Such as File, Edit. The Google search bar does not appear at all.

With libfreetype 2.3.11-1ubuntu2.2, DejaVu Sans looks great. With
libfreetype 2.4.2-1 installed (and everything else kept exactly the
same), the kerning looks really ugly. To me, it's most noticeable before
lowercase u. I will attach before and after screenshots.
