I also have the same problem with my Brother HL-5240.
With one driver Brother HL-5240 BR-Script3 it only prints about 3
pages and with the other driver Brother HL-5240 Foomatic/Postscript it
takes ages. For 10 pages, it takes up to 15 minutes or more.
I never used to have any problems back
I also face the problem with my SSD. On a parallel 32 bit Ubuntu installation
on an ordinary HD I don't have the Problem.
I'll try the suggestion in #54 an report if they succeed.

On multiple computers with multiple *buntu versions I find the same root
cause: JFS filesystems. The Ubiquity installer cannot determine the size
in use of JFS partitions. Other filesystems such as ext* work as

Running the kernel since last week on my laptop (nvidia graphics though)
without detecting any regressions.
Testing the kernel on an Fuj-Siemens Esprimo E today for 1.5 hours, doing a
loop over xrandr:

This is fixed in Maverick. Resume takes about 10 seconds again on my

I have no idea, I learnt to not set the bootable flags manually, I just
let the installer handle it.
Oh, and I just put my /boot partition on a usb stick. Much simpler.
