Same problem here using 0.8.3.1 from universe (no maverick builds in the PPA)
To me it only (and almost always) happens after resuming from suspend to disk
or ram, so I don't see any relation with #450852.
% LC_ALL=C apt-cache policy gnome-do
gnome-do:
Installed: 0.8.3.1+dfsg-2ubuntu1
Take that back, it's not fixed after all. As requested, I've opened a
new bug report, #672562.

Lucid worked fine on this system, however since wiping over it with a
vanilla install of Kubuntu Maverick 32 bit, every 5-20 minutes the
kernel just hangs. I say it's the kernel as even Alt+Sysrq+RSEINUB does
nothing. Anything animating on screen freezes and any audio playing

System Monitor should display the Installed Architecture many users
would hunt a long time to find that information. Regards... dlp

Binary package hint: network-manager
As requested by Mathieu Trudel in bug #274593, I'm opening a new bug.
If the DHCP server in the network goes down for some reason,
NetworkManager marks the connection invalid once DHCP request times out:
Nov 8 10:59:19 lempo
Better yet, NM could automatically try to obtain a new IP periodically,
like Windows does.
