Still have problems even with new driver version. Reading through X log,

thank you Mr.Daniel for keeping an eye on my problem,recently my system has
get an update that updates the kernal 2.6.35-22-generic to
2.6.35-23-generic. after doing that all the above said problems are
eliminated.once again thank you for your interest in my problems.

the linkage of the test is wrong. Move the gio.c before the libs.
the line should read:
gcc `pkg-config --cflags glib-2.0 gio-2.0` gio.c `pkg-config --libs

Hi Tony,
the upstream HEAD revision is not affected by this problem any more. Plus: I
had to amend my patch, I overlooked the free statement to s_track_num.
To be honest, I didn't check the svn repo before posting here. The bug is still
new while the fix is already applied to the upstream repo.
