I do not remember all the options available to u1sdtool in Ubuntu 9.10. You can
run the command 'man u1sdtool' to see if the options u1sdtool -c and u1sdtool

Ok, did the commands.
The CLI seems to work.
BUT, the GUI doesn't work (see attached). Eventually, it states
"synchronization" complete, but the GUI is not updated with my Account
Details, nor my machine (Device) details.
