Today I was actually amazed by not having this feature in such feature-rich
music player.
It hurts my ear if I suddenly want to stop the song and start one from YouTube

FWIW, from my perspective the run in terminal option is NOT a must-
have. I use the traditional alt-f2 constantly, and I have for years. And
in all that time I think I opted to run something in the terminal once.

I have no idea.
It seems that to fix it properly one needs to register fsnotifier
callbacks on the files in the temporary folder and update them on remote
system if there were changes. This all is highly nontrivial and there
are much more urgent and pressing issues, so I would say not in the next

I am the commenter that submitted the test case above.
The problem effect both Lucid and Maverick, and is real annoying, as it
cripples programs that need a constant updating menu.
I've tried many different things to bypass this memory leak, but
