I have seen this bug in two different Eucalyptus installations. I did
not check whether it's reproducible because the set of servers that we
run our private cloud is being used heavily and generally not used as a
test bed for UEC. Installation was done using UEC CD install.

I think this the issue has been fixed by #643171. I do not see this
testcase failing using a recent (e)glibc and GCC. Could anyone of the
original reporters check if it works for them? Please make sure that you
use at least glibc 2.12.1-0ubuntu11 and GCC 4.5.

There are still minor graphic errors in some videos (lloks like an old image
from a crashed flash player) but your solution is excellent.
It seems to work only with the flash-plugin (via synaptic), not with gnash.

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. I filed Bug #722498 to remove
this package from ubuntu. It was imported from Debian over 5 years ago
with no updates. It also seems as if there hasn't been an upstream
release in almost 5 years. If you'd like to maintain this package in
Ubuntu or
Is it possible to get a backport of Apport or the gpu tools to maverick?
At least that way the error data could be captured even if the fixes are
not back-portable

UL30Vt has two video cards, Intel GMA 4500MHD and NVIDIA G210M. Although
G210M supports HDMI video output, 4500MHD doesn't recognize the external
monitor connected by HDMI at all. But both support VGA connector.
Meanwhile, G210M
confirmed when the query tool is launched, X jumps to very CPU usage and
the UI becomes unusable. Increasing priority to medium.

Alright, after some discussions with Ryan, I had a look into this again,
and I have now fixed the problem in compiz. Some notes about this:
* DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS in the program's env isn't mandatory, since dbus
can scrape that information from the root window property if it has X11 support

I don't know how this package xserver-xorg-video-nouveau is installed.
My computer is virgin.
As I didn't can install directly Ubuntu 10.10 on this computer, I do install a
previous version Ubuntu 9.10 then upgrade to 10.04 LTS for upgrade to 10.10.
