- Close evolution
- killall e-addressbook-factory
- /usr/lib/evolution/e-addressbook--factory

I too had this problem... The indicator is not visible until configured
by right clicking just next to the network manager icon. After
configuration it appeared.

I can reproduce this by running 'sudo gtk-update-icon-cache -f -q
/usr/share/icons/gnome' (takes 2 runs usually). The last nm-applet
update didn't fix it.

I try to install the uptate to wacom-dkms. It does not install correctly, as
it is looking for a previous version of the kernel (2.6.32-25-generic if my
memory serves me right). I had to revert to version 0.8.8-0ubuntu3.

Same issue on D945GCLF2 under Ubuntu 10.10 since upgrading from 9.10.
An init 6 after initial cold boot remediates the issue whilst powered
on.

Have confirmed here by reverting to the previous package version, after
a logout/in the gm on desktop returns
( a slight add. regression is it's back to an older behavior of - that the gm
on desktop is not available till something, (anything,) is opened. Then it
shows up
