Actually I just looked at maverick and with apt-get install xubuntu-
desktop --install-recommends (which is the default) I get gnome-panel
there as well. Its a recommends of gnome-session and that in turn is a
recommends of metacity. That is a recomemnds of gdm.

After updating to the latest Ubuntu 11.04 beta release at 0900 GMT with

I mean, as it has arrows that can be used instead of dragging, if you
place the mouse pointer, say, at the bottom right corner of the screen,
you should be able to use the arrows without having to look for the
coloured mark to find where the scroll bar is.
