loss of performance is a known possible side effect, depending on how
good the hardware is. Also your temperature has reduced by 5-6 degrees.

Thanks Bryce. I set xdiagnose flags extra graphics debug ON, disable
vesa ON, and rebooted. Here is output of dmesg.

I have just freshly installed the new Ubutntu 11.04 Beta 2 on my office
computer with Windows 2000 on it. And the process went smoothly. Grub2
recognized the Windows 2000 partition with the Flexnet-infected boot
sector and integrated it into the boot menu. The bug therefore seems to
be resolved
