I have a BCM43225, which is not supported by b43 firmware, so I had to search
for another workaround.
I found that removing acer-wmi module (I've got a acer AspireOne 753) does make
wifi working (but, of course, kills the bluetooth module).
To the noobs, the command is: sudo modprobe -r acer-wmi
@DanielCordeiro: You mention that XOrg dead keys work in your case. I
suppose you mean that dead keys work in xterm. If that is the case, then
the Unity bug is easily fixable, and it's a bug in Unity.

Based on the descriptions of other in the duplicate reports, and based
on my experience, all you have to do is restart your system to resolve
the problem. Most probably, what Michael suggested would work ( $
killall software-center...).
So the main issue is to find what caused the problem to
disabled universe repos and is now installing fine.

I can confirm this bug, it seems that nvidia is boikoting ubuntu ;) as 11.04 is
pretty unusable with its drivers
It existed with the latests nvidia drivers from xorg ppa in 10.10
However using the older driver avaliable (173) in 11.04 also gives a nasty bug
as you can see in the following screen
Have the same issue on my Netbook (Eeepc 1000HE). The register of the
biggest account was not rendered at all. Sometimes the previous opened
register content was (still) displayed. Register display was limited to
0 (infinite). After setting it to 1000, the register was rendered again.

It could be that I am hit by some other problem, but most of the
symptoms seem to be the same.
My experience is that Unity freezes even when "Blank screen" is selected as
screensaver.
Whenever the freeze hits I switch to a terminal with Ctrl-Alt-F1, log in and
then issue the following commands:
The 020637.001 kernel booted fine with the GRUB command.
HOWEVER the network is even less functional -- there don't seem to be
any ath5k messages in the syslog at all on this boot.

Searching for a solution with my R8169 networkcard I did read some
threads with this kind of problem. The solution seem to be to set in

Yes!, this bug is really annoying. The strange thing here is that it
happens to me randomly this way: sometimes it prompts once, sometimes it
prompts three times. But it always prompts at startup.

I have the same problem. My grub menu is unreadable. It's a black screen
with white streaks that look like what is supposed to be menu items.
When I press up and down, the streaks get updated.
I have a Samsung Series 9 laptop running Natty on a fresh install.

On the T420, the wireless key, when used, turns off both wi-fi and
bluetooth. However, when used again, it turns wireless back on, but
does not turn bluetooth back on.
According to Enablement test results, the key passed testing.
