I don't think this is a duplicate. The behaviour I'm reporting leaves
Banshee in a usable state. I can still use all features of the
application. The problem is not a crash or a hang, but that the stream
doesn't connect, nothing is reported, and after two more attempts, the
stream works.

I am running ubuntu 11.04 desktop 32-bit version. Although it was
originally installed as beta2, I have all available updates applied.
I open terminal a start the Grace 5.1.22 program using the usual command
xmgrace

it fails building on libc.la located in the gnu-smalltalk source
directory. Removing this file and running make again works. Seems to be

The Toshiba laptops (R850) appeared to have similar problems, but it
appears the Lenovo laptop mentioned here works with SD (but not MMC),
and the Toshiba laptops don't work with either. A new bug has been

i can ack this problem.
maybe this can help:
when i type:
nano /etc/defa
then it completes to
nano /etc/default/
but when i put a "sudo" in front of the command like:
sudo nano /etc/defa
then it completes to
sudo nano /etc/default
hope it helps

Just tried Natty in a VirtualBox vm. The issue happens for me too. The
switch to DMZ (Black) is not honored.
At least there is an easy workaround. Changing the cursor with
$ sudo update-alternatives --config x-cursor-theme
works!

I just tested building locally with sbuild and in a PPA
(https://launchpad.net/~clint-fewbar/+archive/fixes/+packages) and it
builds fine there.
I uploaded it to natty-proposed. If it fails again on buildd's, I'll
investigate further what the failing test does.

The card reader is a RIcoh e823, might be related to bug 717435, but I
filed as a new bug, since although 717435 is supposed to be fix
released, the reader still doesn't work on the Tecra R850.

My problem was the same, but under "normal Ubuntu" instead of "Unity". It was
impossible also to enable or disable a plugin without crashing the config of
compiz.
