I like the idea of an android-style solution where as a trash button only
appears when an item is being dragged.
this way it is not taking up valuable space, and is only appearing when it
might be being used.

In addition to this problem, when I installed Google chrome as a
browser, I was able to set this in preferred applications. Since then,
the option for chrome has disappeared, and 11.04 now insists my default
browser is firefox. Using the chrome set as default option has no
effect either.
