I have 2000+ fonts and I can confirm that is taking too much time to
start. Additionally it is consuming a lot of memory. This doesn't happen

Binary package hint: libreoffice
Every time I try to save a document in .doc or .docx format, libreoffice
writer closes and all document changes are lost.
I have tried:
1) Removing and purging Libreoffice and re-installing
2) Removing and purging Libreoffice and re-installi
Have the same problem with apt-cacher on 11.04. apt-get update hangs
at some point and either gets a timeout or a 404 'not found'.
Have switched to using apt-cacher on 10.10 on a server and that works
just fine.

Also the desktop CD image for Oneiric Alpha 1 suffers from this bug.

Could you please check if the Xserver package in
https://edge.launchpad.net/~raof/+archive/aubergine fixes the mouse
behaviour for you? I've reverted the patch most likely to be the
problem in that package.
Having looked at it further, though, I don't see how you can actually be
hitting the codep

No, this is happening on a desktop machine without a touch pad, although
it's possible that synapics drivers are being loaded at some point,
unintentionally. I'll take a look to see if that's the case next time

know what changed to make it go away. It must have ben one of the
updates since I reported the bug.
