Im experiencing the same issue described here but whats more weird is that
switching ISPs seems to fix my problem when i ssh my servers, i mean, i have
two internet service providers, with service provider A, ssh doesnt work and i
get the Read from socket failed: Connection reset by peer
i must confirm that is not a IPS restriction or something, because i can
ssh using both ISPs using windows or putty on linux or ssh clients on
iPhone.

I have this too.
And there is one more issue I'm not sure if they are connected, but when I'm
powering down or try to restart my laptop sometimes it looks like shutting down
normally, but then systems goes to black screen and stays like that. Not
responding any commands and not doing anything.
The workaround from Paul's link solved the problem and 2.6.38-8-generic

Hello
I got this bug on my Kubuntu 10.10 and 11.04 machine
Adding this conf file solved the problem for me on Kubuntu 10.10, but on 11.04
the bug is present even though the upstart job kicks off( the NAS is mounted)
Other described solutions for the bug, which used to work on 10.10 does not on
It is already removed from the current Ubuntu developement series
(oneiric).

different 'levels' of controlling the mouse work? I had already tried
similar tricks using the 'synclient' commandline command, but that did
not resolve the problem. Now you say that there's
'gpointing-device-settings'
The problem is that the clipping algorithm for the shadows is rather
... simple. Basically when doing the panel shadow we look for windows
that are intersecting the shadow and don't draw the shadow there.
Fixing this would be quite complicated, since it requires that you
project the full geometry
