I have installed natty on a Lenovo Thinkpad X220 and got the same issue as

Seems like upower gets the wrong data. [ energy-rate: 308.969 W - present

This solves the problem for me in natty:

GRUB_BACKGROUND=path to grub.png
And then run update-grub.
You'll see the image as soon as grub starts, and it will stay on the
screen until X starts (or plymouth, whichever comes first).

I have almost the exact same issue as Victor Jimenez. Killing
screensaver-gnome does not help, but the cursor does not change

Importance:
I experienced this bug to, with i386 and Ubuntu 11.10 daily build.
I noticed that I can reproduce this bug in this way...
Once opened Ubuntu Software Center, select Canonical Partner ( it shows my
nothing white page) then if for example I search the word adobe then USC
crash...
