2.6.38-10.46 came through the Update Manager today and I can confirm it
fixes the problem. On one speedtest.net run I got 45Mbps download speed
though the average is around 32Mbps. Plus I can ping my router without
losing packets.

I had a similar problem. I launched Emacs from gnome-terminal using
emacs, and then selected Keep in Launcher. If I closed Emacs,
clicking the launcher icon wouldn't open a new instance; it would just

Some more possibly unrelated feedback: the noise I hear on the docking
station's audio output? Happens on the built-in speakers with
3.0.0-0300rc6 now, too. Even when I have headphones plugged in. I'm not
sure what that's about.

There are certainly cases where the proxy is the only way to get to the
Internet, and there's no reason why proxying keys should be bad. squid-
deb-proxy should be fixed to handle this, I think. I've opened a new
task on this bug for that.
I agree that apt-setup should have error handling for

Ian: You should still be able to select the other kernel by holding
Shift just after the BIOS screen disappears until you get the boot menu,
then select Previous Linux versions, and then select the patched
kernel. The fix will be in the next proposed kernel, so it shouldn't be
too much longer.
