I have had the same problem 2 times. Both when calibre was open. Both times in
addition, I have tried to use "keep in launcher" option when it happens.
Result is that unity keeps it, but when freemind closes, I can't launch it
again from there. After restarting computer, it is gone from launcher

I upgraded one of my 11.04 to 11.10 and tried the same test with a blank
User name and User Password set to Not Required. When I select it from
the Network Manager it fails immediately with "... there were no valid
VPN secrets." I then rebooted the machine (twice) and both time ended
up with 2 v

avahi-daemon should usually announce the hostname on the network as
hostname.local., but sometimes after booting it happens that it
announces hostname-1.local. or hostname-2.local., which obviously
causes trouble because other hosts don't find that particular machine.

If I add my phone by selecting "Add new device" in bluetooth-applet, it does
not connect to DUN with "Connection refused (111)" error in the bluetoothd log
and with "Connection refused - security block" in hcidump output.
I succeded connecting only after killing bluetooth-ap
I believe you are using NVIDA with the gallium3d driver? This issue is
specfic to gallium3d, happened at one stage in Natty as well that I
reported as bug 729596. Though I am not totally sure if something needs
changing in compiz as well

Indeed, while I can *still* reproduce it on my Lucid box, I can't on my
Oneiric VM, so the bug was solved somewhere between their respective
bash-completion versions (1:1.1-3ubuntu2 vs 1:1.3-1ubuntu4).
