I recently updated the libsasl2-modules to
2.1.24~rc1.dfsg1+cvs2011-05-23-4ubuntu1 in oneiric.
That triggered the bug also described in Debian here:

The annoying message is logged in auth.log. In my case, it is
I issued the following command in the terminal:
sudo apt-get install -f
and it successfully installed libreoffice-core 1:3.3.3-1ubuntu2, fixing

All I did for my low-disk-space ISO for Lubuntu 11.04 was to edit the
file casper/filesystem.size to contain a number lower than the one that
was there before. I then edited one line of the file containing
md5sums, so that the Test CD Image menu item still works. No change to
any code whatsoever

The root cause of this bug is the function
gdk_screen_get_primary_monitor. Unfortunately it is designed in a way
such that it returns the same value 0 if the primary monitor is the

By default, the python 2.7 on Ubuntu/Debian is using ascii as default
encoding. There is an option in /usr/lib/python2.7/site.py, user can
enable to support locale aware default string encodings, which is a
system wide setting.
