I still have the issue on my Acer 8930 with the Intel Corp 5000 AGN
wireless adapter. Nm-applet says the device is not detected and system
settings Network manager says unavailable. I never downgraded just
manually added my wifi settings to the interfaces file.

I had just updated the system so that I could run some of the Laptop QA
tests. Apparently the debug packages weren't available yet.
The retracing service kicked back two of my bugs during Oneiric Beta 1.
It is unfortunate that this is most likely to happen when you need bug
reports the most.

Sorry, I forgot to attach the screenshot. However, when I tried to take
one and add it later, none of the gnome shell elements appear in it,

@Peter Drysdale: I had tried fixing the problem by downgrading festival
to one from the lucid repository. After reading your post I downgraded
the alsa-utils package which fixed the problem. Wish I had tried that
earlier. I've not tried your mentioned patch because my knowledge of how
to do so is

I suppose it is something to do with the Video driver.
I have 2 different systems with the same release of Ubuntu.
One is with NVidia video driver and single core processor. Runescape is
running.
Other with ATI video driver dual core processor. OpenGL crashes.
See attached log.

The bug is not present in Oneiric Beta 2 Kubuntu i386. Button 1 works
properly in the installer and the installed system.
