Have rebooted and problem still exists when performing a number of
actions in Nautilus i.e. selecting a folder, selecting a file, copying
or pasting a document etc. Nautilus is pretty much unusable for any
normal work.

nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in
Workaround that worked for me was to run
apt-get install --reinstall libgl1-mesa-glx:amd64 libgl1-mesa-glx:i386
so this is obviously a problem in the muli-arch support in apt, right?

I have installed Ubuntu 11.04 on a new Lenovo T420 laptop (Core i7,
NVIDIA NVS 4200M Graphics with Optimus) and I'm observing strange
