Marius, could you test the upstart package that's been uploaded to
oneiric-proposed? This should solve the misleading error message, even
if it doesn't solve the slow boot - the slow boot being a bug in one of
the other packages mentioned (console-tools, console-common).

Posted #7 little too fast. The good news is only partial.
On SECURED (WPA/WPA2) wireless the 3.0.0-13 kernel works great but on
UNSECURED connection wireless is still very slow (56k or so).
Could someone confirm this behavior? Also, could someone check WEP
secure connection too?

I don't know, I'm afraid. In theory it's not a function of the video
driver, but an ACPI function, so it should not actually depend on the
driver. But of course the nvidia proprietary driver could do more things
than just the actual graphics. From the udev point of view, the keymap
