I already removed the class from my application. I actually
rebuilt/ported

I am unable to reproduce this bug because for some reason vm-builder
just hangs for me on both Lucid and Precise. However, from visual
inspection, I think your patch is spot on. Note however that it does
not apply cleanly to Precise.
Using kill -9 directly on the /usr/bin/kvm process of the hung VM
guest that was using 100% CPU did restore the ability to use virsh
start on the guest. That is consistent with the comment #26 by Daniel
Berrange in the Red Hat ticket about The QEMU process has hung.
