1) /etc/resolv.conf contains no nameserver information = exit
2) Generated by NetworkManager in /etc/resolv.conf = exit
3) /etc/network/interfaces contains mapping or source lines = append
4) /etc/network/interfaces contains a logical interface

I got this message after salvaging my Ubuntu Desktop 11.04.
My troubles started when I installed a new NVIDIA Graphic card in my
system. System won't boot, either from my SSD or LiveCD.
To salvage the system , I had to remove the board from my system, reboot
with my 11.04
As a Hebrew user* here's my humble opinion: Qt and GTK have it right.
The whole interface should be mirrored. That is the path that should be
followed in Unity/2D and the greeter.
The fact that there is uncertainty is very bad. It is an indicator of
the passivity of the RTL users - even the ones
*I'm a Hebrew user but I don't use Hebrew because I prefer English. So
in the computer Hebrew is my second language :)

Hello,
I'm new to Linux and Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and I can't get my external
monitor to work. The VGA port does not seem to be enabled.
I'm getting the following printout when running xrandr:
Screen 0: minimum 800 x 600, current 1024 x 768, maximum 1024 x 768
default connected
I also previously filed a memory-leak bug report against nm-applet in
natty (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/780602), which I think got
incorrectly marked as a duplicate of #779754 (though it shares some
