Reverting my change and using the original /etc/init/network-

I have just reproduced this by installing the 23 February 2012
precise-server-amd64.iso in a VirtualBox virtual machine and selecting manual
interface configuration. The dns-search option is written correctly but after
dns-nameservers and a space come two garbage characters.

As i understand it the Unity interface has something crucial or at least more
easily implemented than other UIs. Touchscreen. Unity can catch-up with what
power-users want later. It also offers more opportunities for revolutionising
the UI in ways other UIs could never hope for.

I followed Xerxes' instructions and am able to launch.
I also found that I was unable to log into the minecraft.net servers in
the launcher screen. This appeared after the patch. My solution was to
create a symbolic link /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libsoftokn3.so pointing
to file

compiz crashed
I have tested and confirmed that installing the packages and running the
application works in the current precise-amd64-daily liveCD.
I'm also attaching buildlogs from precise pbuilder-chroots in case it is
helpful.
These logs include installation tests (using theB92test-pkg pbuilder hook with
I believe something in LightDM have changed (no denying this is a bug)
but previously at the login screen of lightdm you grab the topbar and
move it you would see your desktop wallpaper behind but now you see this
corruption behind. as that's the point where compiz is not even started.

Unfixing the cdimage and live-build tasks for now, as we need to
revert this until the livefs builders can actually support building ext4
images. :/

good thing it was changed in compiz and not hacked into unity. Doing
that cause bugs like bug 933776 for example.
