I have no problem with my regular usb wireless mouse which is working the way
as expected but with my touchpoint (Lenovo R61i). It's by default configured in
the /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/11-evdev-trackpoint.conf file. My touchpoint
behaves exactly the same way

Valgrind for an existing pid, nor could I find a way of starting
unity-panel-service manually (I'm assuming it errors because it's already

I checked with my co-worker's screen (BENQ G2220HD) and it works

pulseaudio. Maybe it helps to change
$RepeatedMsgReduction on
to
$RepeatedMsgReduction off
... in /etc/rsyslog.conf ?
Anyway, from the log it seems like the startup fails for some reason. Is
pulseaudio running correctly? If
