After lots of experiments I found out that the problem is with the
xhci_hcd module. The strange thing is that other people with the same
laptop model didn't encounter the same issue. The following script fixed
it (placed under /etc/pm/sleep.d/):

Felix: that isn't a proposed fix - it is simply a work around that

authorisations fail.

Public bug reported:
After invocation of some (most?) programs the originally most correctly
displayed window frame areas (like the bar containing the document tab
headers in GEdit) turn black.
As an example a screenshot is attached: Opening gedit with a document as
parameter directly colors the
@Sandra: thanks for the report but it's not a MyUnity bug, the problem is a new
feature of Unity 5.10: chameleon effect.
Unfortunately this feature has been inserted after the last version of Myu,
otherwise we would have removed the ability to change color.

shutting down. If I just shutdown the machine it works fine. This
happens with Precise 64 bit (x64) version: I used a daily build dated
